How much time should I expect to spend on this course?

English 60 is a 14 week course and you should expect to devote between 5-10 hours a week to your studies.

Each week you will have  Readings,  Reading Responses, Sentence Skills, and Poetry. Some weeks, there will also be essay assignments or sentence skills quizzes. The sentence skills units are self-guided and while there are assignments to complete, there is no homework to hand in.  These exercises will help you edit your own work and help prepare you for the 2 quizzes and the final exam.  There are no weekly assignments regarding the poems, but we will discuss them later in the course.

Once we begin the novel, you will be responsible for reading up to 100 pages per week, so please start you reading as soon as you begin the course.
